About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem Neonatologist to join their team at United Regional Healthcare System in Wichita Falls, TX. United Regional Hospital is a prominent healthcare institution serving Wichita Falls, TX, and the surrounding communities, recognized for its commitment to healthcare excellence. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services. As a Level II Special Care Nursery designated facility, United Regional provides care for infants with a 30-week or longer gestational age and a birth weight of greater than 1,250 grams who have physiologic immaturity, or who have problems that are expected to resolve rapidly and are not anticipated to require sub-specialty services on an urgent basis. In the Special Care Nursery, the team collaborates with trained pediatricians, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation services, and neonatal nutritionists to care for infants so that they can remain in their community without separation from their families while they receive the specialized care they need. The Neonatologist will cover the level II NICU and newborn nursery. The hospital, in partnership with Pediatrix, is working towards a level III NICU designation. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns, enjoying a supportive work environment and access to advanced technology in a state-of-the-art NICU facility. The position emphasizes family-centered care, supporting parents during their newborn's NICU stay, and fostering strong communication and collaboration. Shifts are 24 hours rounding plus call from home/hotel. Coverage is available ASAP.

Requirements

  • TX license or active IMLC required
  • Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required

Responsibilities
