About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board-certified Neonatologist to serve as Medical Director at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Medical Director will lead an outstanding NICU team and help shape the future of a growing neonatal program. The role calls for a collaborative physician leader committed to clinical excellence, team development, mentoring, quality, patient safety, family-centered care, and continued program growth.

Forsyth Medical Center’s Level III NICU provides comprehensive critical care for the region’s most vulnerable newborns, with more than 750 NICU admissions annually and an average daily census exceeding 32 infants. The hospital has approximately 4,500 deliveries each year. Services include bubble CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, therapeutic hypothermia, and a dedicated neonatal transport team. The practice uses a family-centered care model, a call-from-home physician schedule, and 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage.

The Forsyth practice is part of an established neonatology group of 15 neonatologists serving four NICUs and five Level I hospitals across the region. Forsyth Medical Center is a 921-bed tertiary care hospital and the largest facility in the Novant Health system.
