Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP)
About The Position
We are collaborating with an established hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, that has an opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage. This role requires Level IV NICU experience and involves providing care for a caseload of 8-12 patients per day. The position offers 13-hour shifts with both day and night coverage options. The hospital has a total bed count of 87 beds and a Level IV NICU with routine procedures that are a part of training of any credentialed Neonatologist, including delivery room stabilization. The coverage model includes a pairing of attending physicians with APPs for different unit sizes during the day, and one APP per unit with overnight Neo oversight at night. Candidates with a compact license will be considered if they do not currently have an active FL license. The role also includes paid travel and expenses, and cross-credentialing at two additional sites: Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center Clay.
Requirements
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Level IV NICU experience is a must.
- Must have Level IV NICU experience, cannot just have Level III.
- Ability to work 13-hour shifts.
- Can consider candidates with a compact license if they do not currently have an active FL license.
