Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP)
About The Position
We are collaborating with an established hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, that has an opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage. This role requires Level IV NICU experience. The hospital has a total bed count of 87 beds. The coverage model includes day coverage with 1 Attending paired with 2 APPs for coverage on 25-bed units, and 1 Attending and 1 APP on a 12-bed unit. Night coverage involves 1 APP per unit with oversight by 1 overnight Neo. The position offers paid travel & expenses and will involve cross-credentialing at two additional sites: Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center Clay. Candidates with a compact license who do not currently have an active FL license can be considered.
Requirements
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Level IV NICU experience is a must.
- Must have experience beyond Level III NICU.
- Ability to work 13-hour shifts.
- Ability to be cross credentialed at Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center Clay.
- Can consider candidates with a compact license if they do not currently have an active FL license.

Responsibilities
- Provide locum tenens coverage in a Level IV NICU.
- Manage a caseload of 8-12 patients per day.
- Perform routine procedures as part of the training for any credentialed Neonatologist, including delivery room stabilization.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and other APPs.
- Provide day coverage (7a-8p) and night coverage (7p-8a).
