Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
A locum tenens Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is needed to provide inpatient, clinical-only coverage at a Level III NICU in Bismarck, North Dakota. Coverage runs from December 22, 2026, through June 6, 2027, on the listed dates: December 22–23; January 11–12 and 18–21; April 16–18; May 21–23; and June 4–6. The schedule is night coverage, 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, in 16-hour shifts. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The practitioner will attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation; manage Level III NICU patients, including performing intubations and placing central and peripheral arterial lines; and transport critically ill neonates by ground and fixed-wing aircraft. The role also involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team and documenting patient care in the EPIC EMR.
Requirements
- Board certification (BC).
- Active North Dakota license.
- Active DEA certification.
- NRP certification.
- Clean record.
- Ability to perform intubation, central line placement, and peripheral arterial line insertion.
- Ability to attend high-risk deliveries and perform ground and air transports.
Responsibilities
