About The Position

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner needed for WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Pediatrics: Neonatology. This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. The role involves utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants, collaborating with the healthcare team and patient families, and contributing to the improvement of neonatal care through participation in research and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Maintaining current licensure and ensuring age-appropriate patient care are also key responsibilities.

• Ability to make sound and timely decisions
• Ability to cooperate and work well with others
• Current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants
• Communicates and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families
• Works to improve the quality of care provided to neonates
• Advances the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process. Shares knowledge on a formal and informal basis with interdisciplinary team as relates to specialty area
• Ensures the continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills
• Maintaining current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing to provide continuous nursing services to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne disease(s)
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served
