About The Position

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner needed for WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Pediatrics: Neonatology. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. The role involves utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants, communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient families, and working to improve the quality of care provided to neonates. The position also involves advancing the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process, sharing knowledge with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills. Maintaining current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants
  • Communicates and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families
  • Works to improve the quality of care provided to neonates
  • Advances the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process. Shares knowledge on a formal and informal basis with interdisciplinary team as relates to specialty area
  • Ensures the continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills
  • Maintaining current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing to provide continuous nursing services to prevent the spread of bloodborne and/or airborne disease(s)
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served
