About The Position

Pediatrix® Medical Group is excited to welcome a new graduate or experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to our well-established and highly respected practice at Golisano Children’s Hospital, the premier children’s hospital serving Southwest Florida. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity neonatal care in a state-of-the-art facility while enjoying an exceptional Gulf Coast lifestyle. The practice includes a 70-bed, Level III NICU with advanced technology and a collaborative care model, serving a two-facility health system with 7,000 annual deliveries. Cape Coral Hospital provides Level I, low-risk delivery services. Primary responsibilities include attending coverage in the Level III NICU, with occasional Level I coverage including well-baby care with home back-up coverage. A full range of subspecialty services are available (excluding cardiovascular surgery and ECMO). High-risk delivery service coverage is also part of the role. The position offers 12-hour shifts with an option for 24-hour shifts based on prior experience. The team is supportive, consisting of 10 Neonatologists and 10 NNPs, with a strong emphasis on developmentally sensitive, family-centered care. The hospital is part of the Lee Health system and is the only children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami. It is a stand-alone, 135-bed, 7-story facility that opened in 2017 and is home to Southwest Florida’s only state-designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Unit. Golisano Children's Hospital has been named a Top Children’s Hospital by The Leapfrog Group four times. The location in Fort Myers offers a stunning Gulf Coast lifestyle with miles of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, making it a premier destination for boating, fishing, shelling, and outdoor recreation. It is a diverse, welcoming community with abundant recreational options, excellent school choices, and a subtropical climate with year-round sunshine.
