About The Position

We are seeking two Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to provide ongoing PRN coverage for our facilities in Newberg, OR and Oregon City, OR. This is a critical need while we conduct a long-term permanent search. The role involves providing care to neonatal patients, averaging 5-8 patients per day, with 24-hour shifts. A resuscitation team is on site, and telemetry NRP is utilized. The position requires an active Oregon license and board certification, with credentialing taking approximately 30 days.

Requirements

  • Active Oregon licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and NRP certifications
  • Minimum 1-year Neonatology experience or equivalent
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Oregon
  • National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
