About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent role for a Neighbourhood Coordinator based in South East London, covering areas such as Caterham, Faversham, Sheerness, and Gillingham, with some dispersed properties. The role involves delivering housing services to tenants, including property letting, scheme inspections with health and safety checks, rent collection support, and liaising with social services and occupational health to ensure tenants can maintain their tenancies and live independently. The position also requires managing tenancy issues, including anti-social behaviour reports, and engaging with tenant representatives and groups. The role is based on-site, requiring travel between sites, and is subject to an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team managed by the Senior Neighbourhood Coordinator and will be expected to meet ambitious targets.

Requirements

  • Some experience and knowledge of housing management in the social housing sector.

  • Computer literacy.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and agility in approach, able to adapt to different circumstances and service demands.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle.
  • Comfortable working and travelling from the sites the role covers.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering housing services to tenants in South East London at schemes including Caterham, Faversham, Sheerness, and dispersed properties.
  • Letting properties.
  • Carrying out scheme inspections, including key health and safety checks.
  • Helping tenants keep up to date with their rent.
  • Liaising with social services and occupational health services to ensure tenants can successfully maintain their tenancy and live independently.
  • Dealing with tenancy issues, including managing reports of anti-social behaviour.
  • Working as part of a small team managed by the Senior Neighbourhood Coordinator.
  • Achieving stretching and ambitious targets.
  • Engaging closely with tenant representatives and tenant groups.
