Under the general supervision and direction of the Executive Director of Community Development, the Neighborhood Services Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day neighborhood services activities for the City of Covington. This position provides functional oversight of housing and community development grant programs, code enforcement, parks and recreation, as well as various strategic projects like management and disposition of City-owned real estate, a neighborhood grant program, and other special projects. Housing and community development programs include those funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development including the Community Development Block Grant Program, and the HOME Program (City and Consortium). The Director is also responsible for leadership, direction, and implementation of high-level projects and other strategic initiatives, as assigned, that are vital to the continued revitalization of the City. Manages staff and all other resources of Neighborhood Services.
