About The Position

Socket Fiber is hiring a Neighborhood Sales Specialist to join our residential sales team. In this role, you’ll work directly within targeted neighborhoods, connecting with homeowners and introducing them to the benefits of Socket’s fiber internet. You’ll build relationships, educate residents, and close sales that make a meaningful impact in your community. This is a door-to-door role where you will turn front porch conversations into wins. No prior sales or telecom experience required —we provide the training. We’re looking for motivated, coachable individuals who are ready to grow. Compensation includes guaranteed base pay + uncapped commission with clear milestones. This is a field-based role in the Columbia, Missouri area.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to walk several miles per day in various weather conditions
• Willingness to travel within a 30-mile radius
• Availability for evenings and some Saturdays
• Positive attitude and openness to coaching

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in customer-facing or field-based roles
• Familiarity with internet or telecom services (helpful, not required)
• Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to succeed

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Socket Fiber
• Build trust quickly and create positive first impressions
• Clearly explain services and answer customer questions using provided tools
• Close sales and track activity in CRM systems
• Follow up with prospective customers and coordinate installations
• Share insights from the field to improve outreach efforts
• Represent Socket professionally and follow safety guidelines
