About The Position

The Neighbor Home Repair Support Specialist provides matrixed support to Neighbor Care Coordinators across all geographic territories, serving as the subject matter expert for the Home Repair Program’s application process. This role ensures that all completed neighbor applications meet eligibility requirements before advancing to the Home Repair Program. The Neighbor Home Repair Program Support Specialist provides strategic support to the Neighbor Care team to streamline application workflows, maintain compliance with program guidelines, and ensure neighbors receive timely and accurate support. This position engages and leads volunteers to assist with documentation, outreach, and education efforts related to home repair services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in housing services, case management, or program coordination
  • Strong understanding of home repair program eligibility, documentation, and compliance
  • Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and diverse populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed support environment
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required to complete key duties of position

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Home Repair Program eligibility and application requirements
  • Lead program eligibility and compliance efforts by interpreting and applying program guidelines
  • Exercise independent judgment in reviewing and verifying application documentation for completeness and compliance before submission
  • Provide strategic support to Neighbor Care leadership and staff in refining application workflows and enhancing home repair service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other systems to support program tracking and reporting
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for application review and documentation standards
  • Monitor program performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
  • Coordinate and train volunteers to support application assistance, outreach, and documentation efforts
  • Train Neighbor Care Coordinators on program updates, eligibility criteria, and documentation protocols
  • Contribute to organizational goals by completing required shifts in meal delivery, office support, or program management
