About The Position

This role is for an NDT Trainee who will be actively participating in a training program for a stated NDT method for a limited and specified period of time. The trainee will gain experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 NDT professional, or a Level 1 or instructor if approved by the Responsible Level 3. Trainees are not authorized to make accept or reject decisions, independently conduct tests, or perform any other NDT functions independently.

Responsibilities

  • Documented as a trainee actively participating in a training program for a stated NDT method for a limited and specified period of time.
  • Obtain experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method.
  • Obtain experience under the direct observation of a level 1 or instructor only when approved by the Responsible Level 3.
  • Not make accept or reject decisions.
  • Not independently conduct tests.
  • Not independently perform any other NDT functions.
