Echo NDE is currently seeking CGSB certified RT2 Technicians to support turnaround work. Position Information: Duration: Project-based call out work with scopes ranging from 2-day assignments to 2–3 week outages/turnarounds. Schedules and rotations will vary based on client requirements. Travel: Various work site locations including Conklin, Foster Creek, Fort McMurray, AB and surrounding industrial site locations. Accommodations: Camp or hotel accommodations will be provided for eligible project scopes.

Requirements

  • CGSB RT Level 2 Certification
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • CGSB MT and PT Level 2 certifications is considered an asset
  • DTR experience preferred (Carestream experience considered an asset)
  • Experience supporting boiler DTR work considered an asset
  • Candidates who regularly work alongside a CEDO partner are encouraged to apply
  • Preference will be given to candidates who reside locally to Edmonton, AB
  • Candidates must be willing and able to travel and work away from home on camp or hotel-based assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, transport, and set up RT equipment, including X-ray/gamma ray sources and digital imaging systems, at various field and client site locations
  • Calibrate and verify equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Perform radiographic inspections on welds, piping, pressure equipment, and structural components to identify flaws or discontinuities.
  • Utilize DRT systems (Carestream experience considered an asset) to capture, process, and evaluate radiographic images.
  • Interpret inspection results and complete accurate reporting in accordance with client and industry requirements.
  • Support call out, turnaround, and outage work scopes at remote, camp, and hotel-based project locations.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, radiation safety standards, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with CEDOs, technicians, supervisors, and client representatives
