About The Position

Acuren is recruiting an NDT Level II Technician to perform nondestructive testing and specialized inspections. The role involves setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, conducting inspections to assess quality or detect defects, applying appropriate testing criteria, evaluating results, and organizing and reporting findings. The technician may also instruct and supervise others and perform other job-related tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Level II.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT inspection methods.
• Establish techniques for examining objects under inspection and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
