About The Position

Element is hiring a certified NDT UT Level II Inspector to join its aerospace inspection team. The position performs immersion ultrasonic testing on critical aerospace components, identifying discontinuities and verifying that components meet customer, quality, and industry standards. The inspector works in a dedicated inspection cell with inspectors, technicians, and production teams, in an environment focused on quality, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Compensation is $32.00–$45.00, based on skillset and experience.

Requirements

• Current UT Level II certification in accordance with NAS 410, SNT-TC-1A, or an equivalent standard.
• At least 1 year of hands-on immersion UT experience.
• Strong understanding of ultrasonic theory, sound beam characteristics, transducer selection, and data interpretation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and inspection accuracy.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to succeed in a team-based inspection environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with aerospace or other critical components.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate immersion ultrasonic testing equipment.
• Perform UT inspections and evaluate aerospace components for acceptance or rejection.
• Select appropriate techniques and transducers based on inspection requirements.
• Interpret, evaluate, and accurately document inspection results.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, customer specifications, and approved NDT procedures.
• Partner with inspectors and production teams to maintain quality, efficient part flow, and delivery commitments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
