We are recruiting for an Inspection Assistant I for projects in and around the Minot, ND area. POSITION SUMMARY: Assist as the PAUT Technician performs routine to difficult field inspections. Also occasionally assist in Magnetic Particle (MT) and Dye Penetrant (PT) testing of welded connections, perform visual observations of piping, structural steel, vessels, tanks, and other materials.

Requirements

Ability to learn and adapt as necessary.
Alertness to new procedures and methods.

Nice To Haves

Background in oil & gas industry, construction, or inspection a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist as the PAUT Technician performs routine to difficult field inspections.
Occasionally assist in Magnetic Particle (MT) and Dye Penetrant (PT) testing of welded connections.
Perform visual observations of piping, structural steel, vessels, tanks, and other materials.
Must possess the traits to promote good working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors and clients.
Must be able to communicate with inspectors, contractor, or client personnel and have the ability to operate calmly under pressure.
Interact with client's field representatives to report results and conclusions.
Assist a field inspector as required by applicable codes.
Makes field inspections of sites and takes photographs of field operations as required.
Learn to prepare written daily field observation reports and summary reports.
Perform other duties as requested.
Learn/Possess understanding and practical experience with refinery safety, equipment, and other assets.
Must have ability to learn and adapt as necessary.
Must be alert to new procedures and methods.
