Inspection - NDT Technician 1st shift
About The Position
We're looking for an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing and inspections on aerospace components to verify compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and safety of components used throughout the aviation industry. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current or previous NDT Level II certification
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience performing non-destructive inspections and interpreting inspection results
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Basic computer skills and experience using electronic systems for data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass applicable vision testing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Aerospace, aviation, MRO, manufacturing, or precision component inspection experience
- Experience working in a regulated quality environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
- Multiple NDT method certifications
Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing and inspections in accordance with approved procedures, customer specifications, and industry standards
- Analyze, interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results accurately and completely
- Set up, operate, and verify NDT equipment required for assigned inspections
- Review and interpret engineering requirements, inspection criteria, and customer documentation
- Record inspection findings and maintain accurate test records using manual and computer-based systems
- Utilize measurement and inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, scales, and comparators
- Ensure work-in-process documentation is complete and accurate
- Support compliance with quality system requirements, repair station procedures, and customer specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area utilizing 5S and continuous improvement principles
- Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction
