About The Position

This role involves performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspection methods. The inspector will be responsible for processing parts, conducting equipment standardization checks, verifying calibration of equipment, and evaluating parts based on customer specifications and approved written instructions. The position requires adherence to ASNT/NAS 410 certification standards for Level II inspectors.

Requirements

  • ASNT Certified Level II
  • Ability to follow written instructions in the techniques/methods for which certified.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified in accordance with ASNT / NAS 410 requirements for Fluorescent Penetrant & Magnetic Particle Inspection.
  • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection - Minimum of 270 documented hours experience with previous Level I Certification.
  • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection - Minimum of 400 documented hours experience without previous Level I Certification.
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection - Minimum of 400 documented hours experience with previous Level I Certification.
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection - Minimum of 530 documented hours experience without previous Level I Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Process parts and perform equipment standardization checks in accordance with written instructions approved by the appropriate Level III.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of processing parts through the penetrant line during the annual audit.
  • Verify calibration status of all gages, meters etc. and log each day.
  • Apply and remove penetrant.
  • Dry parts.
  • Evaluate acceptance of parts based on requirements.
