As a CR/DR Assistant, you're helping to ensure critical infrastructure—like pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural steel—is safe and reliable. You’ll work closely with certified NDT Technicians to inspect materials using methods like X-ray, ultrasound, and dye testing, all without causing damage to the materials themselves. You will also be helping with our CR/DR methods. Your day will involve traveling to job sites, setting up and prepping equipment for inspection, assisting with inspections by taking readings, holding sensors, or applying test materials under a technician’s guidance, and following strict safety procedures. You will also be involved in tearing down equipment, documenting test results, or helping with post-inspection clean-up. You’ll work outdoors or in industrial environments, often on your feet for long hours. The work can be physically demanding, but it’s highly respected and critical to public and environmental safety. This role is your entry point into a high-paying, high-demand career path. With time, training, and certification, you can advance to a Level II or III NDT Technician, Specialist, Team Lead, Regional Inspector, Project Manager, or QA/QC roles.
