About The Position

Epic Piping is hiring an NDE Helper to support its Fabrication team. The role assists with nondestructive examination equipment, testing, inspections, and related production tasks under the direct supervision of a training NDE Technician or certified inspector/technician. No prior experience, computer skills, or certifications are specifically required. A high school diploma or GED is required. Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and calibration of nondestructive testing equipment.
• Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by a certified inspector or technician.
• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Record test and inspection results under the direct supervision of a training NDE Technician.
• Measure defect dimensions using rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers under the direct supervision of a training NDE Technician.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of production or quality problems.
• Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs under the direct supervision of a training NDE Technician.
• Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards under the direct supervision of a training NDE Technician.
• Position products, components, or parts for testing.
• Stack or arrange tested products for further processing, shipping, or packaging.
• Adjust, clean, or repair products or processing equipment to correct defects found during inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
