About The Position

Turner Specialty Services, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Level II NDE Technician for work in the Hahnville, Louisiana area. The position performs nondestructive examination of materials in accordance with applicable referencing codes. Technicians must be certified in Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), at a minimum. Applicants who do not currently hold these certifications must provide classroom training certificates and evidence of required field experience. Per diem is not available, and local candidates are preferred. Applicants must provide NDE classroom training records, on-the-job training hours, past certifications, and a resume. The position requires a valid driver’s license and TWIC card. A post-offer drug and alcohol screen and physical evaluation are required. Compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience. The work may involve climbing and maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures above and below ground; reaching, handling, and manipulating objects; operating tools and equipment; lifting 30–50 pounds from ground, waist, or overhead level; carrying objects and tools; standing, sitting, and walking; and performing tasks that require vision and hearing with or without correction. Employees must also follow procedures and standards, apply basic mathematics, plan work, interpret differences in sizes and forms, understand solid objects from drawings or diagrams, follow oral and written directions, plans, and blueprints, read and write, and recognize and report safety hazards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be certified in Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), at a minimum; candidates without current certifications must provide classroom training certificates and evidence of required field experience.
Valid driver’s license.
TWIC card.
Provide NDE classroom training records, on-the-job training hours, past certifications, and a resume.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Must pass a post-offer drug and alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including lifting 30–50 pounds and climbing ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
