About The Position

The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks highly technical resources to serve as Data Integration, API, and ETL developers responsible for creating real-time, on-demand, batch, and scheduled data interfaces and processing between internal and external systems and applications. This Integration/Interface Engineer position must be well-organized and able to manage multiple technical, business, and testing efforts. Duties include requirements gathering, solution design and implementation, and supporting go‑live and post‑implementation activities.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and/or MuleSoft or Boomi
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns, REST/SOAP web services, JMS, MQ, XML, JSON, and API development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Solid understanding of system integration, enterprise architecture principles, technical sizing, scalability, and high availability.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing and developing integration solutions using MuleSoft.
• Experience with integrator/deployment tools such as TeamCity.
• Experience with various DevOps tools including SonarQube.
• Experience with deployment tools such as Ant/Maven.
• Experience with SCM tools like Bitbucket.
• Experience with testing automation tools such as TOSCA and Selenium.
