The Baker McKenzie & NBLSA Tax Career Mentor Program educates interested NBLSA members about careers in tax law and challenges the idea that a background or particular interest in tax, math, or accounting is necessary for a successful tax law career. This is a mentor program and does not constitute employment with Baker McKenzie. Candidates seeking future employment must complete the standard recruiting process for any desired role. Applicants must be enrolled in a law school in the United States or Canada and be a member of NBLSA or their respective law school BLSA chapter. Applicants should submit a resume and a cover letter of 500 words or less explaining why the program is right for them and what they hope to gain from participating. Baker McKenzie describes its culture as diverse, inclusive, collaborative, and global. The firm has 13,000 people, including over 6,500 locally admitted lawyers, in over 70 offices worldwide, and a community representing 60 nationalities. It emphasizes world-class career development and a commitment to excellence and collaboration. The firm is an Equal Opportunity Employer and aims to provide an inclusive and accessible experience for candidates; candidates may contact recruitment services to request reasonable adjustments or accommodations.
