About The Position

The Nature Education Intern is responsible for assisting education staff in planning, organizing, and presenting educational programs and events. This role involves contributing to special events, school programs, public education programs, community outreach, educational lectures, reservations, and summer camps. The intern will gain experience in community engagement and education.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school completion or GED
  • At least 1 year of combined educational and professional experience in natural resources, environmental interpretation, education, or a closely related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of special events
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of school programs
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of public education programs
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of community outreach
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of educational lectures
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of reservations
  • Assist with and collaborate in the preparation and presentation of summer camps
