About The Position
Nuts 'n Berries is seeking an experienced and capable individual for a Natural Health Team Member position. This role offers meaningful work in a small business environment, with a schedule that allows for a life outside of work. The ideal candidate will be mature, curious, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility. For over 45 years, Nuts 'n Berries has assisted customers with natural health, better food, and targeted supplementation. The store's approach involves listening, asking questions, educating, and helping customers understand their options. While extensive prior knowledge of natural health is not required, a strong desire to learn is essential. The role involves a variety of tasks typical of small-business retail, where all responsibilities are shared among the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional work experience preferred.
- At least 2 years in a customer-facing environment (retail, hospitality, sales, healthcare, wellness, education, account management, customer service, entrepreneurship, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and take care of people.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Ability to stand, walk, stock, and move merchandise for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Natural-products or supplement experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Customer problem-solving: Learn products to become a trusted resource for customers.
- Product knowledge: Continuously build expertise in supplements, natural foods, and ingredients.
- Daily store operations: Operate the register, receive deliveries, stock and merchandise products, answer phones, clean, organize, and manage product dates.
- Awareness: Proactively identify customer needs, stocking requirements, and operational issues.
- Teamwork: Support coworkers and contribute to daily operational needs.
- Communication & accountability: Ask clarifying questions, report issues promptly, and take ownership of work.
