About The Position

As an experienced Gas Utility Pipe Fuser/Fitter, you will report to a skilled Foreman and install, troubleshoot, and maintain underground gas utility systems while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality results. You will work as part of a crew and assist with general labor as needed to support project success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of prior pipe fitting or fusing experience in the gas utility industry.
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications.
• Fluent in English, as worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English.
• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable-suspicion drug screens.
• Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E-Verify.
• Satisfactory pre-employment background check results.
• Pass a pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test and hold or obtain a DOT medical card.
• Join and maintain Union membership.
• Ability to perform prolonged and repeated lifting, including overhead lifting up to 50 pounds; standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching; and crawling.
• Ability to work safely in the red zone of heavy equipment, with quick and accurate hand-eye coordination and constant alertness.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and maintain piping systems and equipment for natural gas utilities.
• Join piping using fusion, electrofusion, or mechanically coupled joints.
• Verify specifications by performing quality assurance tests.
• Load and unload equipment and materials; keep the worksite clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications.
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.
• Assist with general labor as needed to support project success.
