About The Position

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to achieve occupancy, average daily rate, and market share goals. This role drives revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and exceeding sales targets. The manager will oversee all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, account management, and sales forecasting. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and negotiating and closing deals with key clients for profitable outcomes are crucial. The role requires staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and adjust strategies. Representation at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand awareness and generate leads is also part of the responsibilities. Collaboration with other departments such as Catering, Operations, Marketing, and Revenue Management is essential for a cohesive sales approach. Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to sales and marketing activities, achieving budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals, and maximizing profitability are key objectives. The National Sales Manager will also assist the Director of Hotel Sales & Revenue Management in training and developing the Sales team, developing the Sales Budget, and performing administrative duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Seven (7+) years of experience in sales management, preferably in the hospitality industry, with a track record of success in driving revenue and building relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure deals and build relationships with clients.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to attend industry events, visit properties, and meet with clients.
  • Understanding of Hotel Operations, Catering and Convention Services departments.
