Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or order processing in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to professionally engage with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional departments.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound decision-making.
  • Ability to interpret company policies, procedures, and product information.
  • Basic math skills, including calculating pricing adjustments, discounts, and freight percentages.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Primarily sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, handling documents, and computer work.
  • Regular communication via phone and computer.
  • Occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Close vision required for computer-based tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a call center or similar fast-paced setting preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to learn and navigate internal systems and product information quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for a high volume of inbound customer and Outside Sales inquiries related to product availability, pricing, order status, invoices, and order processing.
  • Prepare and enter customer quotations into SAP, ensuring accuracy in pricing, product availability, and documentation.
  • Accurately process sales orders, including pricing, payment terms, freight terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Communicate order confirmations and proactively notify customers of any updates or changes.
  • Monitor open orders and backorders; follow up regularly to ensure accurate lead times and timely customer communication.
  • Coordinate closely with inventory and supply chain teams to resolve held or delayed orders and provide detailed updates.
  • Partner with Outside Sales representatives to support customer accounts and maintain strong internal collaboration.
  • Resolve customer issues and inquiries promptly, professionally, and with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and equipment to effectively support customers and sales initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
