About The Position

The American Camp Association (ACA) is seeking a full-time, remote National Network Engagement Director. This role serves as the primary relationship manager for national youth-serving organizations that operate camp programs. The ACA is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering camps to create quality experiences that foster belonging and growth, serving over 20,000 year-round and summer camps annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in partnership development, membership development, relationship management, or sales-oriented environments.
  • Membership recruitment, engagement, and retention experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of ACA’s mission and accreditation program.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Volunteer development and leadership cultivation
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 35%.

Responsibilities

  • Increase ACA individual membership by 4%, accredited camps by 1%, and fee-paying camps by 2% annually among national network organizations.
  • Recruit new individual members and camps affiliated with national network organizations.
  • Strengthen relationships and increase engagement with existing members and camps to support a 95% retention rate for camps paying fees and a 75% retention rate for camps paying dues.
  • Encourage and support camps within national network organizations in exploring and pursuing ACA accreditation.
  • Increase educational product sales from network camps by 3% annually.
  • Collaborate with ACA regional staff and other teams to connect national network organizations to ACA resources and programs.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration on professional development, programs, and initiatives.
  • Assist staff in identifying and cultivating potential volunteers and leaders within national network organizations.
  • Represent ACA at in-person and virtual meetings and events hosted by national network organizations.
  • Monitor trends within national youth-serving organizations and share insights with ACA leadership.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent ACA positively when interacting with partners, members, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers across the association to advance strategic goals.
