2027 National Coaching Academy
About The Position
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers National Coaching Academy is an intensive, comprehensive weeklong program for top-tier coaches seeking their initial opportunity to work in the NFL. The Academy will take place at the AdventHealth Training Center in Tampa, Florida, from May 10–16, 2027, and includes the opportunity to participate in the team’s 2027 rookie minicamp. Twenty-five finalists will be selected from a nationwide search and receive full scholarships to cover costs in Tampa for the weeklong Academy. Participants will gain on-field experience and take part in interactive sessions, business insights, media training, film review, and instruction on key football software. NFL players, coaches, and staff will provide instruction, and participants will have networking opportunities with Buccaneers coaches and staff across the organization. Buccaneers coaches, scouting personnel, football operations, and front office staff helped plan the Academy and will participate in its curriculum.
Requirements
- At least three years of coaching or work experience in a football program at the high school, college, or semi-professional league level, irrespective of background or status.
- Provide one letter of recommendation from a current or former employer, an athletic director, or a coach of the applicant’s choice, highlighting character, work ethic, and coaching credibility. Upload it under “additional documents.”
- Must not be a player in a professional or semi-professional football league.
