About The Position

This is a position with The Marley Company, a parent company which provides administrative support to the SPX Enterprises HVAC Heating businesses (such as WM Technologies, LLC, Marley Engineered Products, LLC, Patterson-Kelley, LLC) and includes all Weil-McLain® branded products. SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a National Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key national accounts, developing strategic account plans, and achieving sales targets across assigned accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of each customer’s business needs and objectives, along with consistent and effective communication to ensure customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term partnerships. The National Accounts Manager will play a critical role in expanding Weil-McLain’s national footprint, increasing market share, growing revenue, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Professional sales or account management experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the distribution business model.
  • Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales opportunity management.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based position while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively to support assigned national accounts.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales or account management experience, preferably within a national or key accounts role.
  • Knowledge of hydronic heating, HVAC systems, boilers, or related mechanical equipment.
  • Experience working with distributors or within a distribution-based sales model.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Ability to analyze account performance, market trends, and customer data to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.
  • Experience conducting customer business reviews and presenting to customer and company leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and grow market share for commercial and residential high-efficiency boiler products.
  • Increase Weil-McLain’s share of business with National Account Distributor Partners.
  • Monitor costs and account performance to support increased revenue and profitable growth within National Accounts.
  • Maintain and grow revenue across cast iron, high-efficiency commercial, and residential boiler product lines.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product penetration and strengthen Weil-McLain’s position within assigned national accounts.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to drive growth within each assigned account, utilizing market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within accounts and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Analyze account data, customer performance, and market trends to adjust strategies and proactively address potential challenges.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and provide regular reporting and updates to senior management.
  • Align account strategies and activities with overall Weil-McLain commercial objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, responding to inquiries and coordinating issue resolution to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess needs, review performance metrics, and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop tailored solutions that align with their objectives and support revenue growth.
  • Strengthen relationships between Weil-McLain leadership and National Account leadership.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each assigned customer’s business model, priorities, market position, and growth objectives.
  • Partner with Product Development, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure customer expectations are met and deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor account performance and support accurate and timely billing and payment.
  • Coordinate internally to address customer needs, resolve issues, and support successful execution of national account commitments.
  • Communicate relevant customer insights, opportunities, risks, and market feedback to appropriate internal stakeholders.
