About The Position

TRIP Drinks, a global leader in calming beverages and the #1 European functional drink, is seeking to expand its US wholesale team. Founded by Dan and Liv, TRIP offers a range of delicious, functional drinks designed to help consumers relax, unwind, and find balance. Since its launch in 2019, TRIP has expanded its presence across Europe and the U.S. and is now hiring for key roles to propel their growth forward in the US market.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience working directly with buyers and brokers of at least 2 National Chains (Whole Foods and Sprouts)
  • 8-10 years of experience within the CPG industry
  • Passionate about TRIP, and inspired by the goal of helping 1 Billion people find their Calm
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early-stage company
  • Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment while driving sales goals
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – self starter who follows through to the end result
  • Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution
  • Strong planning, organisation and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Competence in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and all video conferencing tools based on partners preference
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for special events/trade shows
  • Must have a reliable car, valid driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance

Responsibilities

  • Build overall business by acquiring and managing National Chains (Whole Foods, Sprouts, The Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders
  • Create holistic retail marketing and promotional strategies to drive sell-through
  • Ensure successful launches and build the foundation for national success for years to come
  • Create strategies for successful launches, promotional calendars and cost-effective retailer programming in National Chains
  • Review plans and promotional history to evaluate trade spend/ROI and increase profitability while growing sales
  • Acquire new distribution opportunities
  • Lead the new customer set-up and onboarding process for new national accounts
  • Work with distributor partners to ensure item setup and POs are placed and fulfilled on time
  • Drive SKU additions and door count through relationships and innovation presentations to retailers
  • Ensure expansion to all doors within current retailers, while also getting our newest flavors & product lines to drive velocity and national growth
  • Maintain national chains by developing relationships with key stakeholders to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, new placements, and other opportunities to grow hint volume
  • Build, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with buyers, brokers and distributor account managers
  • Create strategies and priorities for 3rd party merchandising partners, to execute sales and marketing plans that optimize sales at store level
  • Analyze market data, sales reports, and business performance metrics to communicate accurate forecasts in a timely manner to meet our production lead times, and implement strategies that drive sales growth
  • Report directly to our VP of US Sales on a weekly basis with retailer status, focus, and forecasting
  • Create presentations for the leadership team on a consistent basis in regards to account priorities, goals, strategy, and initiatives
  • Work with our trade marketing team to organize marketing activations and create POS that drive brand awareness & coordinate key programs as it relates to your accounts
  • Manage and maintain the budget approval process
  • Participate in semi-weekly sales calls to highlight successes, discuss challenges, and understand company wide strategies
  • Attend Trade Shows and other industry events
