About The Position

The National Account Manager will develop and execute strategies and sales plans for existing and targeted accounts within their portfolio or designated geography. This role drives direct sales of company products, services, and systems to key corporate customers, generating planned sales revenue. The National Account Manager will negotiate and secure National Account Agreements in collaboration with legal teams, and is expected to expand sales within existing customers and target new customer sales through corporate-level contacts and field resources. This position translates financial impacts of decisions, planning, and strategies into measurable outcomes and provides reporting to management. The role leads efforts in lead generation and new business acquisition, building valuable relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. The National Account Manager will maintain a deep understanding of market needs and ensure significant business growth within the assigned market or geographic area. This role communicates effectively and collaborates with field-level internal teams and the nationwide organization. The National Account Manager identifies, develops, and implements strategies for major accounts, acting as the single point of resolution for customer needs. This role monitors competitive activity and maintains competitive intelligence to proactively protect market share, recognizes emerging account needs and develops market offerings accordingly, and plans and executes sales for major regional and national accounts, participating in high-level sales negotiations. The role requires working independently in a complex environment, adapting to evolving business needs, and thriving in a diverse and inclusive team environment that values unique perspectives and fosters belonging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Proven experience in strategic and national account management with a defined sales process
  • Strong background in industrial and/or specialty gases
  • Demonstrated success negotiating contracts at a corporate level
  • Seven to ten or more years of sales experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations as required
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing complex accounts and multiple priorities
