About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join the Power Bus Way team remotely. We are seeking a motivated and experienced National Account Manager to lead strategic relationships with key accounts in the electrical manufacturing sector. This role involves managing and expanding partnerships with national contractors and other stakeholders to drive sales and revenue growth. This person would be responsible for collaboration with RVP’s, DM,s and EWS Leadership to implement contractor strategy. A function of this role will be working project business and utilizing support from local field teams to win business. This role may also require working on special projects important to the business as well as a focus on a few OEM accounts. Building internal relationship and collaboration is a must to be effective. The ideal candidate has deep industry knowledge, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the electrical manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical products, systems, and their applications.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, technical sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and discuss electrical products.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking to drive account success.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills within the electrical industry.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with national accounts, including electrical contractors, OEMs and sometimes distribution partners.
  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding the customer’s needs and aligning them with the company's electrical solutions and innovations.
  • Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities for electrical products and systems.
  • Partner with internal teams, including product development, engineering, marketing, and operations, to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements affecting the electrical manufacturing sector.
  • Monitor and report on account performance, sales forecasts, and market conditions to senior management.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to ensure mutual value while meeting company objectives.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and site visits as required (approximately 50% travel).
