The Opportunity Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, Glucerna® and Juven® – to help get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest life. Our Rogers, AR l ocation has an opening for a National Account Manager (NAM) for Walmart, with a focus on Adult Nutrition, specifically Glucerna. This role will manage day-to-day business operations and serves as the subject matter expert for Adult Nutrition on Walmart.com. Key responsibilities include leading Glucerna sales strategy and execution, managing eCommerce content and product display pages, ensuring compliance and in-stock levels, and collaborating on growth strategies. The NAM will also oversee forecasting, item maintenance, and internal funding processes using tools such as Walmart’s Supplier One and Abbott’s internal systems (SalesForce.com, Exceedra). This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams across brand marketing, sales, supply chain, and shopper marketing, as well as with Walmart, to drive business results. Additional duties include managing account budgets, supporting media campaigns, and ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning through monthly updates and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field required
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience within the consumer product goods industry
  • Advanced knowledge of sales management systems, forecasting, & budgeting
  • Expertise in syndicated data (Nielson) & customer POS systems (Scintilla)
  • Ability to analyze market trends to effectively develop presentations, provide recommendations and business forecasting
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complex business problems while building strong relationships
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Circana
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with ability to identify whitespace growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal / leadership skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and highly collaborative across multiple support groups

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Walmart business, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Lead the development of Walmart strategies both internally and with the customer.
  • Take ownership of the tactical implementation of business plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and present proposals to Walmart.
  • Provide guidance to Sr. Analyst on areas of focus at the retailer and competitively.
  • Use insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage account budgets and ensure alignment with company financial goals.
  • Manage content and product display pages (PDP) on Walmart.com.
  • Ensure content compliance and work with supply chain to maintain in-stock levels.
  • Collaborate with Shopper Marketing Manager on online growth strategies and track performance and support media campaign reporting.
  • Guide Sr. NAM on forecast accuracy related to Walmart.com trends.
  • Create Walmart.com-specific reports with Business Development Manager.
  • Responsible for the monthly update of the internal forecast file, ensuring that all relevant data is current and accurate.
  • Involves actualizing the forecast and updating the baselines in the financial planning tool, Exceedra each month to reflect the latest data.
  • Update the forecast file with new items, discontinuations, price changes, rollbacks, features with lifts, and POD updates to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
  • Utilize Walmart’s tools (Supplier One) and Abbott’s internal processes (SalesForce.com, Exceedra) to manage new item setup, cost changes, catalog cleanup, promotions, and feature displays, ensuring that all product information is correctly entered and maintained.
  • Responsible for building, scrubbing, and routing funds through Exceedra to ensure resources and expenditures properly authorized and compliant.
  • Owns Exceedra deductions and audits, overseeing the process of accounting for and resolving financial discrepancies.
