About The Position

Clemens Food Group is seeking a National Account Manager, Retail to lead one of their most important retail partnerships. In this high-impact role, you'll drive profitable growth across their branded and private label portfolios while serving as the primary commercial leader for key growth customers. This role requires a strategic sales leader who knows how to win with National Retail organizations and thrives at the intersection of customer relationships, pricing strategy, supply chain performance, and category growth. The position involves multiple trips to CFG HQ in Hatfield, Pa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of CPG sales experience with national retailers
  • Expertise in sales strategy, pricing management, and customer development
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven success driving growth while improving service-level performance and OTIF metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing major mass retail accounts preferred
  • Experience in protein, fresh food, or commodity-based categories strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that drive category growth and strengthen long-term partnerships as the primary contact for key account merchants and replenishment teams.
  • Develop and lead Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Drive distribution, assortment optimization, and category growth initiatives.
  • Lead line reviews, modular updates, innovation launches, and private label opportunities.
  • Manage pricing strategy and margin performance across value-added and fresh pork categories.
  • Analyze POS data, market trends, and commodity impacts to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead customer negotiations and pricing discussions.
  • Own OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and service excellence metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, marketing, and demand planning teams.
  • Deliver volume, profitability, and customer growth objectives.
