About The Position

Essity's Health and Medical team is seeking an experienced National Account Manager focused on our national GPOs. As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive growth and revenue. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, identify areas for account expansion, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and analyzing market trends, identifying competitive threats, and developing strategies to maintain and expand our market share. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, coaching and negotiation skills, and the ability to think strategically to drive business growth. This is a remote position; however, the Charlotte area is preferred. We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, change, and move at a fast pace. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND five (5) years of experience in the medical device or health products industry
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience executing contracts within GPO accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent project management skills as well as strong business and financial acumen, especially in the context of federal budgeting and reimbursement mechanisms.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in healthcare economics, clinical outcomes, supply chain management, and the operating model of GPO accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for growing medium and large national strategic accounts - specifically large GPOs.
  • Identify stakeholders and map sales processes for effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Find and cultivate new opportunities within existing medium and large national strategic accounts.
  • Ensure the proposals, contractual terms, and pricing align with Essity’s financial strategy and move the customer within the value creation journey.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, increasing customer advocacy levels and positioning Essity as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Motivate and support sales teams with best practices and impactful business cases that combine product evidence and financial aspects, to illustrate the business impact on customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and position products against competitors.
  • Understand the customers’ needs and pain points through effective questioning and active listening.
  • Collaborate internally with regional sales managers, sales professionals, and marketing to meet sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction, taking ownership of strategic account plans.
