About The Position

The National A&D Director is a high-impact, strategic, and outward-facing role responsible for elevating Renson’s presence in the U.S. architecture and design community. Serving as both brand ambassador and thought leader, this position drives engagement, education, and product specification among architects, interior designers, and design firms nationwide. The role blends strategic program development with hands-on execution—leading accredited CEU programs, hosting showroom and factory experiences, guiding independent sales representatives, and partnering with senior leadership on market initiatives. As the A&D channel expands, the National A&D Director plays a pivotal role in strengthening Renson’s national footprint and positioning the brand as the leading partner for innovative, healthy outdoor living solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years in architecture/design outreach, sales, business development, or specification-focused roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture/Design, or related field.
  • Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong written communication skills; able to craft compelling, technically accurate messages for architects, designers, and industry professionals.
  • Ability to clearly present complex design and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled at adapting tone and delivery for architects, designers, developers, leadership Teams, and clients.
  • Proficient with Salesforce CRM and other customer‑relationship platforms.
  • Strong user of Power BI and analytics dashboards for KPI and trend analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Proficient with virtual presentation tools (Teams, Zoom).
  • Comfortable with collaboration and project‑management tools; tech‑savvy and adaptable to new systems.
  • Ability to interpret performance metrics, percentages, and growth rates.
  • Comfortable reading dashboards and understanding numerical trends in CEU data, pipeline activity, and specification volume.
  • Competent in basic calculations required for reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills for interpreting design trends, market signals, and pipeline data.
  • Ability to evaluate multiple variables (region, product mix, design intent, engagement levels) and determine next steps.
  • Skilled at problem‑solving in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to adjust strategy quickly based on feedback, data insights, and evolving priorities.
  • Ability to analyse A&D engagement metrics and convert insights into action.
  • Capable of identifying trends across CEU participation, Material Bank activity, and specification patterns.
  • Strong information‑synthesis skills for reporting to leadership and recommending strategic adjustments.
  • Ability to travel 10–15% domestically, with occasional international travel.
  • Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) for potential trips to Belgium and other design‑related travel.
  • Valid driver’s license for regional travel to firms, partners, and events.
  • Regular presence in the Carrollton, TX headquarters required for showroom hosting, factory tours, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across different personality types and levels of seniority.
  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution skills; comfortable switching between planning, presenting, and detailed follow‑through.

  • Experience delivering AIA‑accredited CEUs preferred.
  • Strong existing relationships within the A&D community highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Renson’s national ambassador to the architecture & design (A&D) community, representing the brand at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with architects, designers, and professional organizations (AIA, ASLA, IIDA, etc.).
  • Lead Renson’s accredited CEU program, delivering presentations, maintaining AIA‑approved content, and converting education into project specifications.
  • Increase Renson’s visibility on Material Bank, manage sample fulfillment, and follow up on high‑intent design firm activity.
  • Support and guide independent sales representatives with A&D messaging, tools, targets, and best practices to grow the national specification pipeline.
  • Manage A&D engagement and project‑specification pipeline in Salesforce; track KPIs using Power BI; and report trends, progress, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and marketing to shape A&D‑focused content, campaigns, and product positioning.
  • Host impactful showroom events and factory tours; co‑create joint events with key dealers and design partners.
  • Lead the A&D strategy for national and regional trade shows, including pre‑show outreach, on‑site engagement, and post‑show follow‑up.
  • Develop and manage high‑touch VIP experiences such as design leader summits, advisory sessions, and potential trips to the NOA Outdoor Living Park in Belgium.
  • Act as the internal voice of architects and designers, providing cross‑functional input to R&D, product, customer service, and training.
  • Mentor internal teams on effective A&D engagement and contribute to the long‑term evolution of Renson’s A&D program.
