About The Position

A warm, engaged family in Houston, TX (Post Oak Area) is seeking a full-time, live-out, long-term, professional bilingual nanny to support the development of their 16-month-old son. The family seeks someone who can provide a strong foundation in care, safety, and early education, while remaining flexible and collaborative. This role involves structured learning opportunities in Spanish, age-appropriate enrichment, and local educational classes. The ideal candidate will be safety-minded, capable of managing daily routines including cooking healthy meals and transporting the child, and thoughtfully support developmental milestones. This is a highly collaborative home with hands-on parents, requiring a true team player with excellent communication skills. Spanish language exposure is valued, and candidates who can support or expand this are encouraged to apply. The family is looking for someone excited to grow with them long-term, potentially with additional children in the future. Full-time hours are guaranteed, with flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week as needed. Responsibilities include all aspects of childcare: maintaining routines, planning enriching activities, supporting educational development, meal planning/prep for the child, and ensuring overall well-being in a safe, nurturing environment. A proactive, engaging, developmentally minded approach is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative in a dynamic household.
  • Minimal phone use during working hours.
  • All standard vaccinations should be up to date.
  • BA/BS college degree or AA in a related field of study or a minimum of 5+ years of professional nanny experience.
  • Up-to-date First-Aid & CPR certification (willingness to renew as needed).
  • Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position.
  • A passion for working with children.
  • 5+ years of childcare experience in any field.
  • Excellent work and personal references.
  • U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be a competent swimmer (if and when required).
  • Non-smoker.
  • Must be live-scanned and registered with Trustline if you are a CA resident.
  • Willingness to sign our no-cell phone driving signed guarantee.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to complete our Stop the Silence training upon membership.
