About The Position

A warm and welcoming family in River Oaks, Houston, TX is seeking a kind, patient, and flexible FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their household of five children, ages 14, 13, 11, 8, and a 1-year-old baby boy. The oldest daughter has Angelman syndrome and requires extra attention. The primary focus of this role is working with and supervising the oldest daughter and the youngest son. This position guarantees 40 hours per week, with a general Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility for 1-2 Saturdays a month, date nights, or travel is requested. The nanny will assist with basic household duties such as children’s laundry, tidying up, and school pickups. Driving is required and mileage will be reimbursed. The family has one indoor dog. Mom is a SAHM and the role supports her. The position begins as soon as possible.

Requirements

BA/BS College Degree, AA in a related field of study, OR a minimum of 5+ years of professional nanny experience.
Up-to-date First-Aid & CPR certification (willingness to renew as needed).
Ability to make a one-year commitment.
A passion for working with children.
5+ years of childcare experience in any field.
Excellent work and personal references.
U.S. Driver’s License.
Must be a competent swimmer (if and when required).
Non-smoker.
Must be live-scanned and registered with Trustline if a CA resident.
Willingness to sign a no-cell phone driving guarantee.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Willingness to complete Stop the Silence training upon membership.

Responsibilities

Care for five children, with a primary focus on the 1-year-old baby boy and the 14-year-old daughter with Angelman syndrome.
Supervise children during schoolwork and extracurricular activities.
Assist with basic household duties including children's laundry, tidying up after meals, and running errands.
Perform school pickups.
Provide adult supervision for the 14-year-old.
Support the mother with childcare duties.
Be available for occasional travel, both domestic and international.
Be available for 1-2 Saturdays a month and date nights as needed.
