About The Position

A warm, welcoming family in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced, part-time, live-out nanny for a long-term role. The family has an 18-month-old son and welcomed a second son in early April 2026. This role is ideal for a nurturing, energetic, and reliable caregiver who is confident in supporting toddler development and transitioning into a two-child household. The position requires 20 guaranteed hours per week, with coverage needed 6-7 days per week from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, including some daily overlap with an afternoon nanny. Flexibility is important, as occasional extended support, overnights, evening flexibility, rare weekend support, and travel with the family on vacations may be needed. Punctuality, reliability, and proactive communication are essential due to the parents' demanding schedules. The nanny will be involved in maintaining the child’s daily routine, including wake windows, naps, meals, snacks, and bedtime preparation. Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, understanding age-appropriate nutrition and safety, and supporting a food-positive environment. The family prioritizes healthy eating and safety around food. The nanny will engage in developmentally appropriate play, support milestones, and maintain a tidy and organized environment, including daily resets of play areas and children's spaces. As the family grows, the nanny will help support the transition to caring for a newborn alongside the toddler. The ideal candidate is energetic, attentive, calm, and capable of keeping up with a busy toddler while maintaining structure and consistency. The family lives in a walkable neighborhood with nearby parks, and street or driveway parking is available. Driving may be required for errands or activities, with gas and mileage reimbursed. The household includes two small dogs, so comfort with pets is required. Candidates should not have pet allergies. The family values a nanny who is warm, personable, loving, confident, organized, trustworthy, safety-minded (no phone use while driving or supervising children), attentive to quality of care, engaged, communicative, and capable of working independently while partnering closely with parents. Tdap vaccination is required.
