AUSTIN FAMILY SEEKING PART-TIME NANNY!

The Nanny League, Inc.Thousand Oaks, CA
Onsite

About The Position

A warm, welcoming family in the Westlake/Rollingwood area of Austin is seeking an experienced PART-TIME NANNY to support their growing family in a long-term, live-out role beginning ASAP. The family currently has one very active, happy 18-month-old son and welcomed their second son in early April 2026. This role is ideal for a nurturing, energetic, and highly reliable caregiver who is confident in supporting toddler development now and smoothly transitioning into a two-child household. The coverage needed is 6-7 days/week from 7:30-11:30 am, with some daily overlap with the afternoon nanny for approximately an hour or so. The family is open to hiring 2 candidates who can be flexible with the days worked(guarenteeing 20 hours/week for both candidates). This candidate should be a team player and comfortable with daily handoffs to the afternoon nanny. Flexibility is important, as occasional extended support may be needed when parents are delayed at work. The family would also appreciate openness to occasional overnights, evening flexibility, rare weekend support, and the ability to travel with them on family vacations. Both parents have demanding schedules, so punctuality, reliability, and proactive communication are essential. The nanny will be deeply involved in maintaining the child’s daily routine, including wake windows, naps, meals, snacks, and bedtime preparation. Responsibilities include preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks; understanding age-appropriate nutrition and choking hazards; supporting a food-positive environment; and assisting with light meal planning ideas for a toddler who is curious about food and currently cutting molars. While there are no food allergies, the family prioritizes healthy eating, limited sugar, and safety around food. Thoughtful suggestions are welcome, but full menus are not required—autonomy and good judgment are highly valued. Additional responsibilities include engaging in developmentally appropriate play, supporting milestones and transitions, and maintaining a tidy, organized environment. The family places strong importance on cleanliness and daily resets, including cleaning up after meals and play, putting toys away, keeping the kitchen and child’s bedroom orderly, and leaving spaces better than they were found. As the family grows, the nanny will help support the transition to caring for a newborn alongside the toddler. Their oldest child is friendly, curious, and extremely active, with a strong love for outdoor exploration. The ideal nanny is energetic, attentive, calm, and capable of keeping up with a busy toddler while maintaining structure and consistency. The family lives in a very walkable neighborhood with nearby parks and schools, and street or driveway parking is available. Driving may be required for errands or activities, with gas and mileage reimbursed. The household includes two small dogs (a French bulldog and a Cavapoo), so comfort with pets is required. Candidates should not have any known pet allergies. The family is seeking someone warm and personable, loving yet confident, holding boundaries, organized, trustworthy, and highly safety-minded (including no phone use while driving or supervising children). They value a nanny who is attentive to quality of care, engaged throughout the day, communicative, and capable of working independently while partnering closely with parents. Tdap vaccination is required. The family is offering $25-30+/hour, paid via payroll, along with 2-5 PTO, 3-5 paid sick days, mileage reimbursement, and overtime pay as applicable. They are hoping to build a long-term relationship with a nanny who truly becomes part of their family.
