Pittsburgh, PA | Sewickley Start Date: September 23rd, but willing to wait for the perfect fit Hours: Monday-Friday, approximately 7:30 am-3:30 pm; 40 hours/week guaranteed; occasional flexibility to begin around 7 am or stay a little later appreciated Hourly Rate: $27-35 Children: 7-month-old Pets: 2 large dogs
Requirements
- Up to date on vaccines, with a preference for annual flu shots (Covid boosters are flexible).
- Must love dogs.
- Driver's license.
- Vehicle.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
- Strong infant experience.
- Understanding of child development, routines, feeding, and safety.
Nice To Haves
- Flexibility to start around 7 am or stay a little later.
- Willingness to be part of the baby's physical therapy team.
- Ability to make thoughtful recommendations about development, feeding, routines, or activities.
- Career nanny with enough years of experience to understand that babies don't always follow a rulebook.
Responsibilities
- Helping the 7-month-old discover the world through books, songs, new foods, outdoor activities, and sensory play.
- Assisting with the baby's physical therapy exercises in playful ways.
- Taking the baby on outings such as library visits, music classes, the zoo, museums, or playdates.
- Providing thoughtful recommendations regarding development, feeding, routines, or activities.
- Preparing bottles and meals for the baby.
- Doing the baby's laundry and some family laundry.
- Vacuuming and sweeping.
- Performing ordinary tidying to maintain the home.
- Occasionally opening doors, refilling water, and enforcing boundaries for the two large dogs.
- Committing to a long-term role, potentially growing with the family as more children are added.
