About The Position

A family in Franklin Lakes is looking for a nurturing, loving, and communicative nanny to care for their children, ages 2 and 3, with a third child expected in October 2026. The schedule is flexible, currently Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 7/7:30 PM, and may evolve after the baby arrives. The family is also open to occasional weekend or date night help with advance notice. The candidate must be able to travel with the family 1-3 times a year. There is some flexibility with time for the right fit, and the home is open to part-time candidates willing to transition to full-time.

Requirements

• Must be able to swim or be comfortable standing in height water
• Must be able to travel with the family 1-3 times a year
• Must be able to provide valid work and childcare references
• Must be willing to undergo background screens
• Must have a nanny's vehicle
• Must be up-to-date on Flu and TDAP vaccinations
• Must be able to navigate the children and comfortable switching back and forth between 1 to 2 to 3 children
• Must be proactive and able to work as a team with Mom

Nice To Haves

• Some college education is appreciated but not required
• Open to occasional weekend or date night help with advanced notice

Responsibilities

• Preparing basic snacks and cooking for the children
• Basic tidying after the children and common areas
• Doing the family’s laundry
• Letting the dogs out into the fenced-in backyard
