About The Position

A military family in Southern Pines is seeking a steady, hands-on nanny to care for their twin infant boys. The position is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, within a 6:00 AM–4:00 PM window, for 20–29 hours per week. Start times are between 6:00 and 8:00 AM, and hours may vary from week to week, usually with about one week’s notice. The family values hands-on care and limited screen time. One parent works full-time in a hybrid sales role, while the other has an unpredictable military schedule, so flexibility and clear communication are important. A friendly golden retriever is also part of the household. The role is scheduled to start January 1, 2027.

The nanny will care for the twins’ daily needs and routines, support their development through play and walks, prepare simple meals and snacks as they begin solids, and help with baby-related household tasks. The nanny will also let the dog out and occasionally take the dog for a short walk.

Requirements

• Infant-care experience; experience with twins or multiples is preferred.
• Ability to comfortably manage two babies at once.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfort with dogs.
• Availability for early start times between 6:00 and 8:00 AM and flexibility as weekly hours shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide bottles and feedings for two infants.
• Change diapers and manage naps and daily routines.
• Engage the babies in tummy time, reading, and play, and take them on walks.
• Prepare simple meals and snacks as the boys start solids.
• Do baby laundry, clean feeding supplies, and tidy play and sleep areas.
• Let the family dog out and occasionally take the dog for a short walk.
