AUSTIN FAMILY SEEKING FULL-TIME NANNY!
About The Position
Central Austin family is seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY for their 6-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter. The family is active and busy, looking for someone who can match their energy and embrace raising school-aged children. The previous nanny of three years is moving on, and the family hopes to find someone equally warm and caring. Both parents work full-time with demanding schedules, working in the office four days a week, and rely on their nanny to be a steady, organized, and enthusiastic presence for their children. The schedule is 11 am - 7 pm, with primary childcare hours from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM after school pickup. Availability is needed from 11:00 AM to assist with the front end of the day before children are dismissed from school. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and enjoys taking children out for activities, sports, and city exploration. Key responsibilities include homework support and managing extracurricular schedules. Additional duties involve children's laundry, maintaining kids' rooms, light household tasks, meal prep, and grocery coordination. The home has one elderly cat. The candidate must possess their own clean and safe vehicle with a clean driving record; gas and mileage will be reimbursed. The family is also interested in increasing international travel with the children and would welcome a candidate open to traveling with them, though this is a bonus, not a requirement. The role offers industry-standard 10 PTO days and 5 sick days. Candidates must be up-to-date on Tdap, Covid, MMR, and Flu vaccines and willing to sign an NDA for family privacy. Bilingual candidates are a plus, with Spanish, French, German, and Japanese being of particular interest. The start date is mid-August or ASAP. Pay is $35-40+ gross per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
- UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
- Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
- Passion for working with children
- 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
- Excellent work and personal references
- U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
- Competent swimmer (if and when required)
- Non-smoker
- Must be live-scanned and registered with Trustline if you are CA resident
- Willingness to sign our no-cell phone driving signed guarantee
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to complete our Stop the Silence training upon membership
- Must have own clean and safe vehicle and a clean driving record
- Up to date on vaccines including Tdap, Covid, MMR, and Flu
