About The Position

A warm, growing Brooklyn family is seeking an experienced Nanny for a long-term role caring for a toddler and a newborn. Childcare is the primary responsibility, with significant care needs, particularly during the early years. The Nanny will provide developmentally appropriate care, maintain gentle and consistent boundaries, and help establish structure and routines in the home. After the newborn arrives, the Nanny will support the mother through important milestones, including breastfeeding support. The role also calls for a naturally helpful approach to the household. During childcare downtime, the Nanny may tidy, prepare meals, let in vendors, or pitch in with light household projects. The family describes its approach as a team effort, with parents and Nanny coordinating care and meal preparation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with flexibility to stay until 6 p.m. when requested. The role includes an ideally weekly parents’ date night and occasional Saturdays. The family is open to building the schedule around the right candidate. Occasional family travel is welcome but not required.
