Full-Time Nanny
About The Position
Jovie is seeking engaging, creative, and fun nannies to join their on-call team. This position offers a flexible schedule, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available in Seattle and the Eastside. As a back-up nanny, you will provide in-home care for children ranging from infants to toddlers, with the highest demand for care for children under the age of 2. You will engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on their age-appropriate development. No household duties are required beyond cleaning up after your activities or meals with the child. You will not be required to transport children.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Experience working with children, paid or unpaid
- Infant experience mandatory
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
- Available Monday - Friday for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
- Regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
- Able to lift 35 pounds safely
- Able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
- Able to react quickly to certain situations
- Able to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
Nice To Haves
- Worked as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer
- Retired teacher or teaching professional
- Seeking a position that allows you to flex your schedule around school, family, or another part-time position
Responsibilities
- Care for children in-home
- Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers
- Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development
- Common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
